Carolyn Barnett studied fashion at Sheridan College and has been designing and producing knitwear for 27 years. She worked in hand knits before discovering the domestic knitting machine. Designing for and working on the machine, she has participated in many craft shows both in Canada and the US such as the One of a Kind, Festival of Canadian Fashion, and Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition. Her work has appeared in television commercials and on the stage in The Who's Tommy and at the Stratford Festival. Her teaching experience include classes in designing knitwear using Garment Designer software, learning the workings of the
knitting machine, and also the creation of polymer clay buttons which accent her work. www.barnett-knits.com
