What could be more fun and rewarding than a 30-year policing career in the largest city in the country? Well for me, it is equally as much fun and just as rewarding being able to share my career experience as a teacher here at Fleming College. Although I am proud to say I retired as a detective from the Toronto Police Service, I'm every bit as proud to say I am part of a dedicated team of former police officers who make Police Foundations at Fleming the outstanding program that it is.

I think that we are products of our interactions and that neither my university education nor my police training made me who I am today. It was my personal interactions during those 30 plus years of school and police work, and not the things I did or had to do, that had the most impact on me. And I want my role as a professor at Fleming to provide you with more than you would simply get out of a textbook or an online search. I am here to have an impact on you.

I hope you eventually have as much fun in policing as I did. For now, I hope you have as much fun at Fleming as I do. We are in this together!
